Dear HTCA Residents,
Over the last few years we have lost a substantial number of mature trees to housing development. Montgomery County has a tree re-planting program that is free and allows you to select a variety of trees. A professional arborist will come out to your home/lot and provide advice on which trees may be best suited to your lot.
Below are the links. We hope you will find them useful and avail of this service.
Best regards,
The HTCA Board

We plant large shade trees for residents on their private property. Trees tend to be 12’-20’ when delivered and installed. We’re funded by the Tree Canopy Law that developers pay into when they do infill development and redevelopment of lots/properties.

MCDOT plants trees in the county-owned right-of-way, large trees when space allows, smaller trees if there are overhead utility lines. They can also plant in “paper streets” (county right-of-way where a street was planned, but never built. In your neighborhood these often have paved paths between streets).
