HTCA Updates

13 Mar 2013 ~ htcawebmaster ~ Leave a comment

A few news items to share with the neighborhood.

New HTCA Board of Directors Member Elected

Mary Beth Sitrick of Garfield Street was elected to the HTCA board of directors at the board’s March meeting. All seven board positions are now filled. Thank you, and welcome, Mary Beth!

Ice Cream Social Update

Plans for the Sunday, May 19, neighborhood ice cream social are advancing. We are hoping to get our kids more involved in the event than in years past. To offer ideas or volunteer, please contact Amy Royden-Bloom, the chairwoman of our board’s social committee, at amyroyden@hotmail.com.

Renew Your HTCA Membership

Please consider renewing your membership to the HTCA. Annual dues are $20. The dues cover the costs of our social events, community meetings, and newsletters. Only dues-paying members are permitted to vote when important issues are put before the community. We expect a court decision on the Suburban Hospital expansion any day, and will be calling a community meeting to discuss the matter shortly thereafter. You can pay by Paypal on the HTCA.net home page, or send a check payable to HTCA to our treasurer, Stephen Brown, 5504 Hoover Street.

We’re Connected — Are You?

We are now on Facebook at Huntington Terrace, Bethesda Maryland, and Twitter as htcabethesda. We’ll be posting lots of local information and updates, and encourage others to follow suit. It’s an excellent way to keep the community connected.
